The result has been 23 diverse albums, successful tours and a loyal fan base.
Peart is known for his creative and intricate drum parts and extensive drum solos that delight both drummers and non-drummers alike. He's won many reader's poll awards from Modern Drummer, including 12 consecutive "best recorded performance" awards.
"The Dauz pad has been a "secret weapon" in my drumkit for ten years. Mine sits discreetly between my snare drum and 13-inch tom, in easy reach for triggering a variety of samples during a Rush concert.
Over the years, my Dauz pad has been a bongo, a sidestick snare, a timbale, a sonar beep, an electronic snare, a temple block, a cowbell, an orchestra chime, a crotale, a big sheet of metal - and always a handy and reliable trigger."
